One product library, two lives

Valeo sells components that its customers never get to open. Powertrain units, ADAS sensors, cleaning systems, battery casings: sealed housings whose whole value sits inside. Working with the agency Auditoire, Digiteyes modeled 21 products across four divisions, Powertrain Systems, Comfort & Driving Assistance, Visibility Systems and Thermal Systems, and turned each one into a piece of communication that opens up.

Every product was given two lives from the same source of truth. A motion film for customer presentations, either a 360° turntable on the assembled unit or an exploded sequence that separates the housing component by component, inverter, rotor and stator, gearbox, power boards, coolant circuit, with each performance figure anchored to the part that delivers it. And a real-time 3D scene that sales engineers open live on their own platform, rotate on screen and inspect during a meeting, instead of scrubbing through a video.

Modeling and lookdev start from the engineering CAD, then run through a neutral studio setup so machined aluminium, cast housings, molded polymers and copper windings all read at a glance. Because the same assets serve both the offline renders and the browser, the whole range stays visually identical whichever way a customer meets it.

Real-time 3D

Take the controls, like their customers do

These scenes were never built for the web. They run inside the presentation software used by Valeo sales teams worldwide. Each product carries its selling points as a step-by-step animation the salesperson walks through live over a screen share, and the customer on the other end can take the controls and explore on their own. Three of those scenes run below, unchanged, in your browser.

Our approach

From concept to delivery

01

CAD Cleanup & Modeling

Engineering CAD converted into production-ready meshes across 21 products, with internal components kept separate so each one can be isolated, exploded and labelled later on.

02

Lookdev & Materials

Neutral studio lighting and a shared material library covering machined aluminium, cast housings, molded polymers, copper windings and printed circuit boards, so four different divisions speak one visual language.

03

Turntable & Exploded Films

A motion film per product for customer presentations: a 360° turntable on the assembled unit, or an exploded sequence that separates the assembly component by component with animated technical callouts.

04

Motion Design & Data Overlays

Performance figures, efficiency curves and power gauges animated on top of the renders, in the Valeo brand system, so the technical argument lands without a voiceover.

05

Real-Time Optimization

The hardest part. Turning an offline render scene into something that holds a steady frame rate in a browser meant rebuilding every asset: controlled decimation of the CAD meshes, clean UV layouts, texture atlasing, lighting and occlusion baked into the maps, and material and draw call counts cut down hard. The constraint was simple and unforgiving: divide the geometry and memory budget by an order of magnitude without losing a single technical detail a customer might ask about.

Objectives

A premium ambition

Objectives
1

Give Valeo one coherent visual library across four divisions, from 48V mild hybrid powertrains to ADAS sensors, cleaning systems and battery casings.

2

Show what is inside each unit, inverter, rotor and stator, gearbox, power boards, coolant circuit, without relying on a physical cutaway prototype.

3

Anchor every performance figure to the component that delivers it, so the technical argument is visible rather than stated.

4

Equip the sales teams with real-time scenes they open live on their own platform, on a laptop, with no plugin and no software to install.

5

Keep one source of truth between films and real-time scenes so the whole range stays coherent as it evolves.
